did some pruning on one of these the other day..overgrown and with issues from former erroneous prunings, it had branched out hysterically at a certain level and looked messy.
To sustain & keep it’s natural form, cut away a couple of old branches each year as needed. take them from the base, not halfway up..forsythia has a basiton growth habit.
